John A. Kowal Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship was established in memory of one of OMAC’s founding members, John A. Kowal, to honor him and his contributions to the field he served for 20+ years to encourage and support the growth of careers in automation. 

As one of the most influential figures and vital contributors to the automation and packaging industries, John’s legacy lives on through this scholarship.

2026 OMAC Scholarship Winner: Jayden Amos

OMAC proudly recognizes Jayden Amos as the 2026 OMAC Scholarship recipient. Jayden will study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati and has excelled academically in high school as a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.

His passion for engineering grew through hands-on projects, including a second-place national finish in Ten80 RC Car Racing and earning a Yaskawa Motoman FS100 Basic Programming Certification. Jayden hopes to pursue a career as a manufacturing or process engineer focused on creating efficient and sustainable systems in the packaging and processing industry.

OMAC congratulates Jayden on this outstanding achievement and wishes him continued success.
