Production machines and entire production lines have become a focal point and often a bottleneck in an effort to improve overall plant performance and supply chain efficiency. Forward thinking machine builders and CPG manufacturers are deploying better ways to reduce costs, speed time to market, and improve performance. Through the adoption of standards for communication interfaces and data structures manufacturers are able to improve production performance. Furthermore, improved machine design, development, and deployment practices are bringing machinery to market that is easier to maintain and identify production bottlenecks.

OMAC Packaging Workgroup (OPW)’s MES Definitions Working Group Workshop

ARC and OMAC are sponsoring a workshop that will include members of the MES Definitions Working Group, the ISA95 working group, and ISA88 working group in this first-of-its-kind effort to bring about agreement on consistent definitions across all three standards.
